Basketball Recap: Corinne Loomis Key Part of a Team Effort in Panthers Win

With a playoff win on the line, Riverton Parke rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Attica Red Ramblers by a score of 39-28. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 47-26 back in January.

Riverton Parke's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Corinne Loomis led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance gave Loomis a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Haylee Mathas, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Riverton Parke's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Attica, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-16.

Riverton Parke will take on Lafayette Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lafayette Central Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Riverton Parke likes a good challenge. Attica does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
