Basketball Recap: Madison County Takes a Loss

Madison County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 51-44 to the North Jackson Chiefs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-35 back in December of 2024.

Madison County now has a losing record at 8-9. As for North Jackson, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Plainview the next time they take the court. Madison County will host Plainview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while North Jackson will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
