Basketball Recap: Arizona College Prep Comes Up Short

Arizona College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 60-53 to the Horizon Huskies. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 64-53.

Horizon can attribute much of their success to Brennan Korn, who went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Owen Brackmann, who posted ten points and six boards.

Arizona College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Horizon, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.

Arizona College Prep will head out to face off against McClintock at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Asher Perez and Kyler Frye. As for Horizon, they and Desert Mountain will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Mountain knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Horizon likes a good challenge.
