The Omaha North Vikings will head out to face off against the Buena Vista Bison at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Omaha North is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Omaha North's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Omaha Northwest 13-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Colin Kinman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Kinman was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nate French, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Chance Kinman, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Omaha North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Buena Vista was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against Omaha Central, falling 12-1. The Bison haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Buena Vista's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Omaha North, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Omaha North took their win against Buena Vista in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-8 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
