Basketball Game Preview: Quitman Bulldogs vs. Mineola Yellowjackets

Quitman is 0-10 against Mineola since February of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Quitman Bulldogs will square off against the Mineola Yellowjackets at 8:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Quitman is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Tuesday. They took a 44-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eustace.

Meanwhile, Mineola came up short against Grand Saline on Tuesday and fell 55-47. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

Mineola's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-14. As for Quitman, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-23.

Quitman took a serious blow against Mineola when the teams last played on January 7th, falling 69-35. Can Quitman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
