Recap: North Mustangs vs. South Mountain Jaguars
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central, The North Mustangs were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against South Mountain by a score of 35-25. That result was just more of the same for these two, as North also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.
South Mountain's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Donovan Norfleet, who picked up 55 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Baqi Taylor, who picked up 100 receiving yards and a touchdown.
North's win was their third straight at home , which pushed their record up to 5-5. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely South Mountain, Camelback, and Fairfax. As for South Mountain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. South Mountain also has no future games currently scheduled.
