Basketball Preview: Harlem Bulldogs vs. Morgan County Bulldogs
Harlem has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Morgan County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Harlem focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Friday.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 81-50, which was the final score in Harlem's tilt against the Seminoles.
The losing side was boosted by Horatio Shaffer iii, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Bussey, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Morgan County came up short against the Razorbacks on Friday and fell 52-45. Morgan County has not had much luck with the Razorbacks recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Harlem has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for Morgan County, they dropped their record down to 11-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Harlem strolled past the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 67-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harlem since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
