Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for First Coast Christian

First Coast Christian had won two straight home games and David Ellis Jr. did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The First Coast Christian Knights simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors 72-22 thanks in part to Ellis Jr., who went 7 of 16 en route to 19 points along with six assists and five steals. Ellis Jr. is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Tavarion Stevens, who posted seven points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2023.

First Coast Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

First Coast Christian will head out to take on Christ's Church Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Christ's Church Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, they will square off against Old Plank Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
