Softball Recap: Baldwin Takes a Loss

Baldwin lost to South Side last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bruins took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cyclones. Bruins fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Cyclones since Monday.

Akua Bonsu made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Bonsu is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amanda Aguiluz, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Baldwin's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for South Side, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Baldwin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-8 victory against Floral Park Memorial on the 28th. South Side does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
