Basketball Recap: Jaxson Randolph Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

There's no place like home for Cloverdale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Fort Bragg Timberwolves by a score of 58-49 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Cloverdale's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaxson Randolph led the charge by going 8 for 13 en route to 19 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Randolph is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jesus Arizmendi, who posted 14 points.

Cloverdale's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Fort Bragg, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Cloverdale has already played their next contest, a 64-46 defeat against Kelseyville on the 17th. As for Fort Bragg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-37 loss against St. Helena on the 17th.
