Softball Recap: Palo Verde Valley Takes a Loss

Palo Verde Valley lost against Calexico last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Yellow Jackets came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Yellow Jackets have lost by exactly ten runs.

Palo Verde Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yasleen Reyes, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Palo Verde Valley now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Calexico, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Palo Verde Valley will face off against Calipatria at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Calexico, they will head out on the road to square off against Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
