Soccer Recap: Mitchell Comes Up Short

Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 5-2 to the Vincennes Rivet Patriots. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Mitchell struggled afterwards.

Alexander Gaytan-Valle and Jayden Zepeda scored both of Mitchell's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Vincennes Rivet, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.

Looking ahead, Mitchell will take on Owen Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vincennes Rivet, they will face off against South Knox at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Knox's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
