Basketball Recap: Orrick Has No Trouble Against Lathrop

While Orrick didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Lathrop Mules on Tuesday as they made off with a 63-37 win. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 26 points or more this season.

Orrick is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points over those games. As for Lathrop, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Orrick will head out on the road to take on Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lathrop, they will be home for the holidays to greet Northland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lathrop's defense better be ready for this one: Northland Christian has averaged an impressive 69.8 points per game this season.
