Cordova won the last time they faced Haleyville and things went their way on Friday too. The Blue Devils came out on top against the Lions by a score of 9-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Laila Mahaffey was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Rainie Burroughs was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Cordova was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Cordova's win bumped their record up to 22-16. As for Haleyville, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

Cordova is on the road again on Saturday to play Hubbertville at 10:00 a.m. As for Haleyville, they will venture away from home to challenge Dora at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.79 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
