Volleyball Recap: Nevada Union Takes a Loss

Nevada Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Spanish Springs Cougars. The Miners were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in September of 2023.

Ziggi Zirpins paced Nevada Union's offense, picking up three kills. Zirpins got some help from Ashlyn Lampe and her five assists.

Nevada Union's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Spanish Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.

Nevada Union didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against McQueen on the 30th. As for Spanish Springs, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Oak Ridge on the 30th.
