Softball Recap: Upper Perkiomen Indians vs. Methacton Warriors

Upper Perkiomen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Methacton Warriors, falling 10-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on April 1st.

Upper Perkiomen saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Deeble, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. That double marked the first that Deeble has hit this season. Kristina Molnar was another, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Upper Perkiomen's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Methacton, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Upper Perkiomen will square off against rival Spring-Ford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Methacton is set to face off against their familiar foe Boyertown at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3.9, the Bears 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
