Volleyball Recap: Halle Quinn's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Broken Bow over Mccook

The home team had won the previous eight meetings between Broken Bow and McCook, and McCook kept the tradition alive. The Indians fell 3-1 to the Bison on Tuesday. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bison apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: McCook scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-19, 25-18.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Halle Quinn, who had 28 digs and three assists. Quinn is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Broken Bow has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for McCook, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Broken Bow will host Kearney Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for McCook, they will challenge North Platte at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
