Soccer Game Preview: Milken vs. New Roads

The Milken Wildcats will face off against the New Roads Jaguars at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Milken's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Milken came up short against Viewpoint on Tuesday, falling 9-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Milken were already down 5-1.

Meanwhile, New Roads' game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Oakwood, sneaking past 2-1. That's two games straight that New Roads have won by just one goal.

Milken's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for New Roads, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Milken was able to grind out a solid victory over New Roads in their previous matchup back in November of 2018, winning 3-1. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
