Baseball Game Preview: The Webb Schools Gauls vs. Western Christian Fighting Lancers

For the second straight game, The Webb Schools will face off against Western Christian. The Gauls will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fighting Lancers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Webb Schools has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The Webb Schools is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Western Christian on Tuesday. The Gauls haven't had much luck with the Fighting Lancers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

For Western Christian's part, Reece Peters was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The Fighting Lancers are undefeated when Peters posts two or more runs, but 4-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dylan Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double.

Western Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

The victory snapped Western Christian's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-11 record. As for The Webb Schools, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
