Football Recap: Palm Harbor University Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Ben Sathaporn and Garrett Perkins

If Palm Harbor University was feeling good fresh off their 35-13 takedown of Countryside last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hurricanes received a blow on Friday as they fell 35-16 to the Largo Packers. The Hurricanes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Packers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Palm Harbor University had strong showings from Garrett Perkins, who rushed for 62 yards and one touchdown on only five carries, and Ben Sathaporn, who rushed for 80 yards.

Largo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Harris out in front who rushed for 85 yards, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Keanu Cooper, who rushed for 56 yards and one score on only five carries.

Palm Harbor University's record now sits at 3-3. As for Largo, the win also got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Palm Harbor University and East Lake will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Hurricanes surely won't give up without a fight. As for Largo, they will welcome St. Petersburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Packers are facing the Green Devils at the right time seeing as the Green Devils are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
