Udall has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the West Elk Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Udall will be strutting in after a win while West Elk will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Saturday, it was close, but Udall sidestepped Cunningham for a 2-1 victory.
Udall was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (65-64), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-19, 25-21.
Udall can attribute much of their success to Leah Sade, who had nine digs and three aces. The dominant performance gave Sade a new career-high in aces.
Meanwhile, West Elk came up short against Neodesha on Thursday and fell 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Blue Streaks: they've now lost five in a row.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-13.
Udall's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for West Elk, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
