Recap: Santa Fe South Saints vs. Mingo Valley Christian Eagles
The Santa Fe South Saints pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 75-58 bruising from Mingo Valley Christian. Santa Fe South has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mingo Valley Christian was led to victory by Harrison Chatham and Isaiah McLemore. Chatham scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds, while McLemore scored 30 points. The contest was McLemore's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Tyler Neal was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 7 rebounds.
Santa Fe South now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Mingo Valley Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.
Santa Fe South will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Mingo Valley Christian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Metro Christian at 8:30 p.m. on December 9th.
