Baseball Recap: Biggs Takes a Loss

If Biggs was feeling good fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Hayfork last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Biggs Wolverines fell just short of the Plumas Charter Warriors by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. The Wolverines' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Collin Beck was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Biggs' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Plumas Charter, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Biggs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-3 defeat against Modoc on the 20th. As for Plumas Charter, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Fall River at 4:00 p.m. on March 28th.
