California City hadn't done well against Kern Valley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Ravens walked away with a 15-10 victory over the Broncs. Winning may never get old, but the Ravens sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Aaroon Moreno made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off only one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Kevin Hightower was incredible, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Joshua Baiza, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

California City pushed their record up to 19-9-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Kern Valley, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-8.

As of now, neither California City nor the Broncs have any future games scheduled.
