Basketball Game Preview: Hancock Panthers vs. Berkeley Springs Indians

Hancock is 0-10 against Berkeley Springs since December of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Hancock Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Berkeley Springs Indians at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hancock faced off against Union on Tuesday. Hancock came up short against Union, falling 63-37. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 274th in Maryland, while the Tigers are ranked 91st in West Virginia).

Meanwhile, Berkeley Springs came up short against Moorefield on Thursday and fell 53-44.

Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Berkeley Springs, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-10.

Hancock came up short against Berkeley Springs when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 56-49. Can Hancock avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
