Licking Valley is 10-0 against Licking Heights since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. Having struggled with ten losses in a row, Licking Valley turned things around against Columbus Academy on Monday. They escaped with a win against the Vikings by the margin of a single free throw, 33-32.

Meanwhile, Licking Heights hadn't done well against Watkins Memorial recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Licking Heights managed a 46-42 win over Watkins Memorial. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Licking Heights pushed their record up to 5-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Licking Valley, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12.
