Softball Recap: Morris Has No Trouble Against Rochelle

While Morris put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Rochelle. The Redskins put the hurt on the Hubs with a sharp 14-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Redskins, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Cami Pfeifer was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Karson Dransfeldt was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Morris was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rochelle only posted a batting average of .118.

Morris' victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Rochelle, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 16 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morris will host Reed-Custer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Redskins are facing the Comets at the right time seeing as the Comets are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Rochelle, they will be playing at home against Genoa-Kingston at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
