Preview: Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Tigers vs. Potomac Wolverines
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Potomac Wolverines at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 74-49 loss at the hands of Oxon Hill. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North has not had much luck with Oxon Hill recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Devin Thomas put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Amir Morton, who scored four points along with seven assists and six steals.
Potomac posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They breezed by Crossland on the road to the tune of 68-27. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Potomac.
Potomac's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah Robinson, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. De'Von Pate was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3. As for Potomac, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North took a serious blow against Potomac in their previous meeting back in January of 2017, falling 97-38. Can Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
