Hillcrest is 9-1 against Van Buren since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Hawks will head out to take on the Vee Bees at 4:00 p.m. Hillcrest has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 3.

Hillcrest lost 13-3 to Edison on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Van Buren hadn't done well against Springfield Gardens recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Vee Bees put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 10-4 win. The Vee Bees' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Van Buren, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

Hillcrest came up short against Van Buren when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 11-6. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
