Recap: Keys Gate Knights vs. Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes
The Keys Gate Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Somerset Academy South Homestead at home by a decisive 60-43 margin. Keys Gate was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Somerset Academy South Homestead apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
It was another big night for Zachary Reynolds, who scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Somerset Academy South Homestead. Reynolds is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Kas Williams was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
Keys Gate's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Somerset Academy South Homestead, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keys Gate will take on Cushman at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Somerset Academy South Homestead, they will head out on the road to square off against Ransom Everglades at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
