Volleyball Recap: Santa Fe Indians vs. Clear Falls Knights
Santa Fe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Clear Falls Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Tuesday.
Clear Falls found their leader in sophomore Riley Martinsen, who had six aces and five digs. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Martinsen.
Santa Fe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Clear Falls, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Santa Fe will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Clear Creek at 6:00 p.m. on September 2. As for Clear Falls, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Fort Bend Elkins on the 23rd.
