Softball Recap: Fountain Inn Fury vs. Pickens Blue Flame
It's playoff time, and Fountain Inn had no trouble coming through when it counted. They skirted past the Pickens Blue Flame 3-2.
Fountain Inn got a great performance from Halle Baker as she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.
On the hitting side, Payton Herring was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Olivia Lieb, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Fountain Inn has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Pickens, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-3.
