Basketball Recap: Lynchburg-Clay Comes Up Short on the Road Against Minford

Lynchburg-Clay kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Minford Falcons. The Mustangs lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 67-39 score last time.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addy Carraher, who shot 55% from the field to rack up 18 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Lily Ferguson, who posted ten points and five steals.

Lynchburg-Clay has already played their next contest, a 45-42 victory against Eastern on the 24th. As for Minford, they will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on December 1.
