Volleyball Recap: Severance Silver Knights vs. Roosevelt Roughriders
It was a good run, but Severance unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Roosevelt Roughriders by a score of 3-2. Severance took Roosevelt into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 23-25, 22-25, 15-12.
Izzy Biggs was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had nine digs.
Severance's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3. As for Roosevelt, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Severance will head out to square off against Thompson Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Thompson Valley will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Severance surely won't give up without a fight. As for Roosevelt, they will take on Fort Collins at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
