Softball Recap: Nokomis Comes Up Short

Nokomis lost against Litchfield back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Redskins took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Purple Panthers. The Redskins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nokomis saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Engelman, who went 3-for-4 with one double. Kally Cook also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Nokomis' record is now 3-12. As for Litchfield, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nokomis will head out to challenge Lincolnwood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Litchfield, they will venture away from home to take on Pana at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
