Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Hokes Bluff's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Hokes Bluff picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 62-53 victory over the Cedartown Bulldogs. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 141st in Alabama, while the Bulldogs are ranked 411th in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hokes Bluff is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Cedartown, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hokes Bluff will challenge West End at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cedartown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bremen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cedartown is facing Bremen at the right time seeing as Bremen is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
