Football Recap: Alameda Skates Past Mitchell with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alameda). They breezed past the Mitchell Marauders to the tune of 48-0 on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Alameda's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Mitchell, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Alameda will challenge rival The Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Mitchell is set to square off against their familiar foe D'Evelyn at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
