The Jefferson Jaguars will face off against the Chanhassen Storm at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Jefferson put up the most runs they have all season on Monday. They put the hurt on St. Louis Park with a sharp 10-3 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Jaguars as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Max Kocur looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. Jefferson is 2-1 when Kocur allows one or fewer earned runs, but 0-8 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Isaac Feller was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Jefferson: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-8 otherwise. Ethan Agre was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Chanhassen came tearing into Monday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Skippers. While the Storm didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Chanhassen pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 2-9.
Jefferson was able to grind out a solid win over Chanhassen in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 6-2. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Storm turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
