Volleyball Recap: Thatcher Comes Up Short

Thatcher was the 2-0 winner over Snowflake when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lobos on Saturday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Snowflake was led to victory by Lucy Lyman and Taya Schneider. Lyman had 12 digs and one assist, while Schneider had seven assists.

Thatcher has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Snowflake, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Thatcher will square off against Safford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Snowflake, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Blue Ridge on the 20th.
