Baseball Recap: Hartford Beats Manitowoc Lincoln for Their Second Straight Win

With a playoff win on the line, Hartford rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They beat the Manitowoc Lincoln Ships by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Orioles.

Carter Kutz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Hartford's victory bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Manitowoc Lincoln, they dropped their record down to 18-7-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Hartford nor the Ships have any future games scheduled.
