Football Game Preview: Hawkinsville Red Devils vs. Trion Bulldogs

Two dominant backs in Martin Mcdonald and Landon Kimbell are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. After each having a week off, the Hawkinsville Red Devils and the Trion Bulldogs will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. Trion took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Hawkinsville, who comes in off a win.

Trion will be up against a hot Hawkinsville squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Red Devils enjoyed a cozy 33-14 victory over Dooly County on Friday. The Red Devils pushed the score to 26-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bobcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Nieem Blair had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 75 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also catching one score.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Hawkinsville's defense and their 8.5 sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Johnathan Solomon and Nakivius Releford, who racked up 4.5 sacks between them.

Meanwhile, Trion fell victim to Bowdon and their airtight defense on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 63-0 loss at the hands of the Red Devils. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Hawkinsville's record now sits at 8-2. As for Trion, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
