C.B. Aycock is 7-2 against Fike since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the Fike Demons at 7:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

C.B. Aycock took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past South Johnston, posting a 60-32 win.

While Fike didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They really took it to Smithfield-Selma for the full four quarters, racking up an 87-41 victory. The Demons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Fike had a senior duo take command as Brayden Jones went 7 of 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 27 points and three steals and William Monk almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. The game was Monk's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamir Loftin, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine assists.

Fike was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Fike's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.5 points. As for C.B. Aycock, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

C.B. Aycock came up short against Fike when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 51-44. Can C.B. Aycock avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
