Volleyball Recap: St. Luke's Episcopal Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Amelia Smith and Emma Kate Frazier

St. Luke's Episcopal was the 2-0 winner over Thompson when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Saturday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-21.

Emma Kate Frazier and Amelia Smith certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Frazier had 12 digs, while Smith had four digs and four aces. Frazier has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

St. Luke's Episcopal has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-11 record this season. As for Thompson, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season.

St. Luke's Episcopal will face off against Spanish Fort at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Thompson, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Bowling Green on the 4th.
