Meanwhile, Father Ryan faced Brentwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Father Ryan walked away with a 51-44 win over Brentwood. The victory was familiar territory for the Irish who have now won three matchups in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Montgomery Bell Academy fell to 10-1. As for Father Ryan, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Everything went Montgomery Bell Academy's way against Father Ryan in their previous meeting back in February, as Montgomery Bell Academy made off with a 67-47 win.
