Basketball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln lost against Dexter back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lincoln Railsplitters were outmatched by the Dexter Dreadnaughts and fell 64-24. While losing is never fun, the Railsplitters can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while the Dreadnaughts are ranked 47th).

Lincoln has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Dexter, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will head out to challenge Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dexter, they will take on Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pioneer will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Dexter surely won't give up without a fight.
