Volleyball Recap: Catholic Central Takes a Loss

Catholic Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Madison Plains Golden Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-7, 25-9.

Madison Plains' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alyssia Mullins led the charge by getting eight digs and two assists.

Catholic Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Madison Plains, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Catholic Central will square off against rival Cedarville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Madison Plains is set to challenge their familiar foe Greeneview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
