Softball Recap: Jefferson Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Enumclaw, Jefferson was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Kennedy Catholic Lancers 8-7. The win was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Molly Burt was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Marina Guillen, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Kennedy Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Jefferson will venture away from home to square off against White River at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kennedy Catholic, they will square off against Kentridge at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
