Baseball Recap: Arroyo Comes Up Short

Arroyo lost against South El Monte back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights fell 5-1 to the Eagles. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Arroyo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Richard Inostroz, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Arroyo's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-1. As for South El Monte, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Arroyo has already played their next game, a 12-3 defeat against Gabrielino on the 14th. As for South El Monte, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-2 win against El Monte on the 14th.
