Softball Recap: Socastee Comes Up Short

Socastee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 9-6 to the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 on March 1st.

Socastee's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for North Myrtle Beach, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

While Socastee had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
