Recap: Frewsburg Bears vs. Randolph Cardinals
With a playoff game on the line, the Frewsburg Bears rose to the challenge on Thursday. They strolled past the Cardinals with points to spare, taking the game 52-37. The win made it back-to-back wins for Frewsburg.
Frewsburg got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Jimerson out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Jimerson hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Taytum Jimerson, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Despite the loss, Randolph had strong showings from Quinn Pence, who scored 15 points along with five assists, and Zoey Dickerson, who scored nine points along with four blocks.
Frewsburg's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Randolph, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.
Frewsburg will challenge Dundee/Bradford Central at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Frewsburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Thursday. Randolph does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
